All About Me, Maria.

Mommy has big dreams and she chases them. If she can - I can too.

I want my children to believe this.

In December 2023, we completed our family of six with our son. When I tell you that my children are my life, I mean it. Photography, thankfully, was put in my stars because I truly believe my greatest purpose in life is to break a cycle and raise my children with high priority for dream chasing, kindness and love so they can leave their mark on this world.

There is no "too big" for us. There is only "how do we get there?" When I was a little girl I dreamed up becoming a singer who played guitar and sang on stages. Though I didn't reach the big stages I envisioned - I did and still actively play, write and preform music on a small, enjoyable scale. Little did I know that the "album covers" I used to take of myself using the timer on my Coolpix camera was a little manifestation to the pure joy I would end up receiving as a photographer. Looking back, I have enjoyed my main craft for years.

two then three...456

My husband and I met when I was a single mother. My oldest, Aria, was 3 at the time. We had no idea that we were even friends on Facebook, let alone grew up in the same community and involved in the same 4-H group at one point in time. Due time, God placed him in my life. We waisted no time. I can't help but to laugh and smile when I say we were expecting Savannah very quickly. We were just madly in love.

Three became four and we hit a time of chaos in life. Photography hung steady for me as I adventured into educating myself deeper in marketing and social media management. With the bends and twist of life, my camera and clients stuck with me...something I am so grateful for.

Our most recent "extravaganza" has planted a desire for living a simpler lifestyle. We sold our white house on a hill for a humble cottage in the woods to be closer to the family farm and allow ourselves to enjoy more time...less materials.

My Business goals:

I. Grow a team

After unfortunately having to decline multiple inquiries for weddings because of already being book, I have a long term 2-3 year goal of growing a team of trustworthy photographers who will help me provide extraordinary wedding day service and shooting while I maintain communication and editing.

II. Educate Others

When I started my business I carried a huge desire to educate other photographers. I love sharing opportunities and the freedom photography brought me as a mother. Podcast? Blog? The wheels are spinning.

III. Editorial Direction

While I believe keeping a traditional style and being fluent in different styles of photography is important for business growth - I hope to exercise my editorial style more. You may see my editing, prompts and over all photo emotion become more natural and story telling.
